Altar Tours

In Old Town San Diego, Día de Los Muertos comes to life with two distinct types of ofrenda (altar) tours each honoring loved ones and important members of our community.

Whether you prefer to stroll at your own pace or to join a guided tour, Old Town offers unique and immersive experiences to commemorate this special occasion.

Community-Wide Self-Guided Tours

One of the most charming aspects of Día de Los Muertos in Old Town San Diego is the community-wide self-guided tours. As you meander through the historic streets of this picturesque neighborhood, you'll have the opportunity to discover beautifully crafted altars created by local businesses and museums. These altars are unique, reflecting the creativity and dedication of the community members who put them together.

More Old Town altars will be published over the next few weeks as they are set-up.
