Empowering Native Youth: Youth & Social Pow Wow – March 18

The Youth & Social Pow Wow in Old Town San Diego is a cultural event that celebrates the rich ancestral history of various Native Tribes. The event is organized by the San Diego Unified School District’s Native American Education Program and is open to everyone who is interested in learning about the traditions and cultures of Native Tribes.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Harold J. Ballard Parent Center, which is located at 2375 Congress St. in San Diego, CA. The event is free and open to the public.

During the event, Native Youth will learn and showcase traditional cultural dances and songs from their respective tribes. The Pow Wow will bring together Native communities from different parts of San Diego to celebrate their cultural heritage and to empower and support Native youth.

The Pow Wow is a full-day event that will feature a variety of activities, including traditional dances and drumming, storytelling, arts and crafts, and food. Visitors can expect to learn about the cultural traditions and history of San Diego’s first people, and participate in a meaningful cultural experience.

The Youth and Social Pow Wow is an excellent opportunity for people to learn about and celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Native Tribes in San Diego. We look forward to seeing you there!
